ANDROGYNY

If you look up the definition for Androgyny, you see words such as appearance, traits, characteristics and identity. These are all outward sexual expressions used in the scientific community to label physical or behavioral observations.

When we refer to androgyny in our universal conversations, we are referring to the energetic balancing and integration of the masculine and feminine energies within. Though this balancing may express itself physically in one way or another, primarily, it is an energetic heart-based trait that either develops over time as the individual goes through personal growth, or the individual is born already fully balanced.

Most of us have become so reliant on physicality to make sense of our world that we don’t realize there’s a whole world of energetic vibrations that form the foundations to our physical observations. So that we don’t get confused by the scientific definitions for androgyny, let me explain what masculine and feminine energy means in energetic terms.

The masculine and feminine energy are two aspects of universal source energy. They aren’t dualistic or oppose each other. They work together to form cohesion and balance in all things.

The masculine energy is outwardly focused and manifests creativity into form. As this creativity is formed, it naturally separates from the whole to form individuality and sovereignty. It’s the masculine energy that allows us to be specific individuals with goal-driven purpose.

The feminine energy is of pure primal source, inexhaustible and knowing no bounds. It is fluid light and pure being. It’s the internal aspect of creativity without form or individuality.

When the feminine energy desires to attain new experiences it attracts the masculine which assists in forming and manifesting her primal creative energies. Together, through their joyful joining and cooperation, they create infinite realities where everything can be explored and experienced.

How does this apply to us as ascending human beings? To begin with, when we identify with one sexual expression or another, we must realize that we are actually both. Each one of us embodies the masculine and feminine energies for fully attaining our greatest potential as creators. . In higher dimensions, we are neither male nor female. We are complete and integral, in perfect unity, and this is what we seek to attain in our quest for enlightenment.

For those familiar with the mystical I AM mantra, it represents the merging of these two aspects. The I is the masculine energy which is(focus, direction, individualization). The AM is the feminine energy which is (flowing, all-encompassing and joining). The words, I AM that I AM, encapsulates our being-ness.

For the past couple thousand years, humanity has been unbalanced due to masculine dominance throughout society. The masculine has oppressed, minimalized and destroyed the feminine, and the feminine has acquiesced or become overly aggressive to survive. In doing so, we’ve seen a lot of form and passion without the primal and sacred. The two became opposed to each other.

We’ve separated from ourselves and each other more and more through increasingly masculine dominated behavior and beliefs. This includes our internal creations as well as external. Internally, we have more and more disease, mental imbalances and self-worth issues. Externally, we war constantly and build unsustainable systems that can no longer support our creative potential. These are all a result of failing to acknowledge the importance of honoring both aspects together.

In recent years, the feminine energy has begun rising from its oppression and is now becoming more equally represented in society. However, the feminine can’t attain its full power without the collaboration of the masculine. The feminine energy is now in the position of waiting for the masculine to reform itself from domination and destruction to its place of honoring and collaborating with the feminine.

This is happening both individually and collectively. Humanity is on the verge of explosive and amazing creation, but we must first honor and connect our masculine and feminine aspects.

We are still struggling with the old masculine energy of fear and powerlessness. When we heal these within we’ll project that healing out into the world and collectively, the old war and terrorism aspects will cease to exist.

When you are androgynous, you are self-aware, caring, empowered, independent and creative and can share deeply with anyone because you aren’t afraid to lose yourself in their energy.

If we want to live a peaceful happy and abundant life, we all strive for androgyny for ourselves and our society, individually and collectively.
